Okami is the spellbinding new adventure newly released for Nintendo Wii. Because we think it’s so impressive, Yahoo! UK has teamed up with Capcom and Nintendo to give you a chance of winning a Wii console plus a copy of the game to enjoy. And for those of you who don’t know what you’re missing, we’re running a five-part launch weekend special here on Yahoo! UK Games explaining more about the game. On Friday we told you about the magical abilities of the Celestial Brush, and how you can paint to transform the world before your eyes. Today we’ll learn more about how the sun goddess Amaterasu, having adopted the form of a white wolf, tackles her enemies using physical attacks combined with deadly brush strokes! Although Okami is one of the most visually beautiful games on Wii, this doesn’t mean our heroine spends all her time smelling the newly sprouted fauna. This is a battle against evil after all. And so Amaterasu can charge down her enemies with a shake of the Wii remote, momentarily stunning them and giving you chance to finish things style. They say the pen is mightier than the sword, and it’s certainly true in the case of the Celestial Brush that can slice through objects and enemies as though paper. By drawing a line through an enemy this serves as a sword strike, and final blow! Such combat techniques are also used by Amaterasu throughout the game while searching for secret items, smashing clay pots or cleaving rocks in two. And as the game progresses you’ll master many more techniques to discover more secrets and tackle increasingly more spectacular and cunning enemies. Take a look at today’s video to watch Amaterasu in action in combat. Tomorrow we’ll take a more relaxing look at some of the ways Amaterasu heals the world around her with some breathtaking results. Once seen you’ll realise that Okami is a game you just experience for yourself. If you would like to win a Nintendo Wii and copy of Okami simply remind our friends at Capcom how the Wii remote is used to help Amaterasu in battle: a) By balancing it on your head Email your answer to: okami@capcomeuro.com
b) By shaking it in your hand
c) By hiding it in the dog basket
