World of Activcraft?

You've probably seen it in our news story but Activision (Call of Duty, Tony Hawks, Guitar Hero) and Vivendi (Blizzard, Crash, Spyro, and, er Timeshift) have merged to form a new company called Activision Blizzard.  The deal is worth $18.9 billion and will enable the new boys to overtake Electronic Arts to become the biggest games publisher. Good news then? Potentially. World of Warcraft is a huge cash cow but clearly needs continual investment to keep the addicts - like me - happy to fork out our nine odd quid a month. The new company should be better placed to do this. But the promience given to Blizzard in the new company - Activision Bandicoot clearly doesn't have the same ring - shows the increasing importance of online gaming. So what do you expect from the new company? Could we finally see WoW appearing on the consoles? Will Spyro get a skateboarding game of his own?
