Sony has announced that the PS3 has now outsold the Xbox 360 in Europe - both consoles have sold around 5 million - despite being released over a year later. Blimey. There we were thinking that the 360 was the bees knees. It has always had the better games and Xbox Live is brilliant, easily bettering Sony's - and Nintendo's for that matter -online attempts. But things are clearly changing. The PS3 has gradually picked up gaming steam with titles like GT5 Prologue. And equally as important is Blu-ray, which has now "won" the next-generation DVD war after the withdrawal of the HD-DVD competitor (you know, the one you could buy a 360 add-on for). Combine this with PSP connectivity - Go View, the tie in with Sky that allows anyone to download Sky content and watch on their PSP looks very interesting - and an ever improving online service and you have a console on he rise.
But still, we can't decide. The 360 has better online and games - for now - and most of our friends are on it. Plus those achievement points are moreishly addictive. The PS3 has more reliable hardware, increasingly decent games and an online service, which while lacking Live's full feature set is at least free to use.
So, Xbox 360 or PS3 - which side of the fence are you on?

360 all the way...PS3 doesnt have Halo but you can get COD4 and GTA4 on the 360 aswell

In terms of Tech, I'm afraid to say that the PS3 has it won, however it did have an extra year to improve on it...even so it's not infallable. I've had a few returned to my store since launch. In terms of game selection...It's the X360 all the way, better exclusives, better games full stop... Gears, Halo..Nuf said. In terms of Live, again I'm with the X360, Yeah, sure you have to pay but somethings are worth paying for...PS3 Live updates are often slow to appear and bugged to hell, thats when you can get online...

Posted by: hidayat_tb06 on Sat Jul 12 07:03AM | Report abusei am with the free online gaming (when i can afford to buy one if these consoles i am gonna go for ps3. most of my mates use xbox360 but are not online i think its because they have to pay monthy for broadband and then have pay to use x box live microsoft is more the type of company that thinks life is all better off when people buy every thing seperately as for xbox having better games? yes at the moment they do have! but anyone can wear the crown only to get overtaken!
