We’re not deliberately trying to test your patience with all these LittleBigPlanet stories, but Sony has just given an indication of the new European release date and we thought you’d like to know.

Okay, according to a Sony Europe spokesdroid LittleBigPlanet “will start to appear in stores no later than the week commencing Monday 3rd November in the UK, Europe, Middle East, Australia and New Zealand, on a country by country basis.” Got that?

So that’s a slight improvement on earlier predictions, right? Well, it certainly appears so, although we note that they still have plenty of wriggle room - as long as they begin the roll-out in one of the above listed territories on the 3rd they can trickle the game out in the others pretty much at their leisure, and nobody can pull them up for telling porkies.

Ach, forgive our cynicism. With so much riding on this title we bet the disc presses are working overtime to get LBP out in huge quantities as soon as possible. Full marks to Sony for acting so quickly to resolve the problem too, we suppose…
