That’s right, the classic card game. But this time it’s played online, either versus a live opponent or any one of ten infamous Bond villains - Nick Nack, Jaws, Baron Samedi, Scaramanga and others with equally reprehensible intentions.

The rules are as simple as ever, though - players take the top card from their pile and select from one of six criteria, ranging from ‘Style and Charm’ through to ‘Brutality’ and ‘Threat to the World’. If the rating on your card is better than your opponent’s you win their card. If you manage to collect 30 cards it’s on to the next round, an increasingly tricky bad guy and fewer cards in your starting stack - meaning more hands have to be won in order to progress.

It’s just as much fun as you remember. Gameplay is brisker too, thanks to strictly timed rounds. And they come in two levels of difficulty - ’Shaken not Stirred’ where each round lasts two minutes and Bond baddies offer a medium challenge, and ‘Save the World’ with 90 second matches and somewhat smarter adversaries.
