Apparent proof that a slim-line PlayStation 3 is already on the construction line, via a Chinese gaming site… Sony continues to deny that such a thing exists.

Photographs of a sleek new PS3 design have surfaced overnight via Chinese gaming blog-spot ‘levelup.cn’, apparently leaked from the manufacturing plant. Among the photos we’ve retrieved for you here you’ll see the packaging, which shows the new console as it will appear when fully constructed. Also individual pics of the outer casing that reveal an embossed re-stylised logo and holes for USB connections etc.

Official word from Sony Europe as of yesterday afternoon was still: “We currently don't have any plans for a redesigned PS3." They might not, but Sony Computer Entertainment sure does or so it seems. Expect the big reveal at the E3 trade show taking place in LA early next month.
