Hot news from Bungie, creators of the awesome Halo franchise. The team are well on target to complete Halo 3 in time for the late September release, with their latest online blog entry reporting that the game is all but complete. As we speak, the code is in the hands of Bungie and Microsoft testers, who are playing it to death all hours of the day in order to iron out any bugs before the final discs are pressed early next month. At the same time, Bungie have announced cool details on saving off game content with Halo 3 and sharing it with your mates. After each game you’re free to upload screenshots, movies, and game settings to one of six available slots. Any one on your Xbox Live friends list can then take a peek at the goodies you’ve chosen to share and download them. Six slots isn’t much though, and Bungie has announced a paid-for package allowing you to save up to 24 bits of game content onto the Live servers. This costs 750 Microsoft Points (per year!) so that works out at a bit less than six quid – or around 50p per month. So all a bit cheeky really, considering you’re already ponying up £40 a year just for the privilege of playing online with Xbox Live in the first place…
