Here’s further proof that Sony is going after Wii with its old-generation home console, and combined might of its ascendant handheld gizmo. Jak and Daxter: The Lost Frontier is a new game coming to PSP and PlayStation 2 this autumn. Perhaps the most startling thing about it is that Sony isn’t releasing a version for PlayStation 3. Sony says a price cut for PlayStation 2 is not going to happen for the UK, despite slashing costs in the US and Europe, but let’s see how things stand this coming autumn when The Lost Frontier is scheduled to land. In their new adventure Jak and Daxter will join a new friend, Kiera, in missions taking them into the skies flying five different types if aircraft. The same old enemy still prevails, that of Dark Eco, but there’s a fantastical new weapon called the Gunstaff that can transform into almost anything. Sky pirates beware. Oh, and you too Nintendo…maybe.
