Kick of your shoes for more cardio-busting moves in DanceDanceRevolution HOTTEST PARTY 2, coming to Wii this June. You’ll need a special dance mat to make the most of this one, no hopping around on the Wii Balance Board sorry, but the second DanceDance game for Nintendo Wii promises a strenuous workout all the same. It might even be fun too, no? With all the fuss over Wii Fit, Konami’s original DanceDanceRevolution HOTTEST PARTY released in 2007 has been sadly overlooked. How quickly fads die, huh?! But never mind, the focus is now on the sequel due next month that lets you step to the beat of tunes that include “Umbrella”, “Walking on Sunshine”, and “You’re The One That I Want” among 50 calorie burning songs… that also have catchy tunes. Mindful of the Wii Fit revolution, however, Konami has thought to include more exercise elements to HP2. While stepping around the dance mat you’ll also have moves to perform using a couple of Wii remotes. And if you need the whole keep fit thing spelling out for you – even after breaking a sweat while shouting ‘and don’t it feel good – you’ll have Workout Mode to provide calorie-based goals. On top of that you can compile your own Fitness Playlist… or perhaps best have someone else arrange this for you because you’ll only include the easy-peasy ones! The multiplayer dance-offs are back, with a “Dance’n’Defend” mode that lets you bring in the Mii characters to draw attention from your real-life quivers and shakes. DanceDanceRevolution HOTTEST PARTY 2 will be available bundled with the necessary dance mat for around 60 quid, or £40-ish for the game on its own. The actual price will be based on Euros so whatever this ends up being in June. Alternatively go for a dancedance in the parkpark to the radioradio…
