Electronic Arts has taken the bold and, we must say, highly unusual step of announcing that they’re bringing the release date of a big game forward rather than sliding it back into the nebulous realms of ‘TBC’. Incredible! The game in question is the next-gen console iteration of sci-fi survival horror Dead Space, and the reason for its early arrival is even harder to comprehend – in short, they’ve finished developing and polishing the game early! What went right, we wonder? Whatever it is fingers crossed they keep it up! Okay, before we get too excited it turns out that we’re only talking about a week here – October 24th rather than the 31st. Meanwhile the PC version of the game is still on track for a Halloween release, which you might think is more appropriate given the chilly nature of the in-game action. Then again we’re notoriously impatient, so the sooner the better for us, thanks, and if you could do the same for Mirror’s Edge that'd be sweet...
