Have you finished the brilliant Batman: Arkham Asylum yet? If so – and we have, by the way – you’ll be itching for more. Fortunately that’s exactly what’s coming this week...

The ‘Insane Night’ map pack costs not a bean for owners of the PS3 or Xbox 360 game. The PC crowd will be able to download the add-on when their shiny, PhysX-powered version launches this Friday.

As far as content goes, the name describes the action in-store appropriately enough. Two maps are bundled – the ‘Totally Insane’ arena is an honest-to-goodness test of the Dark Knight’s considerable brawling prowess, while ‘Nocturnal Hunter’ is more about sneaking around in the shadows, hanging upside-down off things to throttle unsuspecting bad-guys, and all that malarkey.

It all kicks off this Thursday – 17th. If it’s anything like as lavishly detailed and satisfyingly brutal as the rest of Batman: Arkham Asylum it’ll be utterly essential. Be sure to check it out.
