It’s a third spin in the big chair for Call of Duty: World at War. Are we now looking at the Christmas number one? Well, Need for Speed: Undercover - previous Crimbo #1 candidate - hasn’t managed to unseat it, Resistance 2 only debuted at eight and pretty much the only big guns left to fire are Prince of Persia and Animal Crossing: Let’s Go to the City, both of which launch this week and neither of which seem to have the irresistible mass market credentials necessary for the job. In any case CoD:WaW is better than the pair of ‘em - especially the Nazi Zombie treat in store at the end of the game. Moving on and it appears that images of the Redknapp family at play are having the opposite effect on sales - Mario Kart Wii has actually slipped a place, in spite of super-heavy marketing and possibly because of the inclusion of Harry’s alarming boat race - good grief. The somewhat dismal Wii Music’s crept up to nine, though, and those ads are kerr-rubbish! After all that the all formats/full price top ten is much of a muchness, as you’ll see below. There’s a bit more action happening lower down - Nintendogs: Lab & Friends leaping 15 places to 17, Left4Dead slipping 9 to 22, Raving Rabbids TV Party arriving at 28 and Singstar wannabe Lips scraping in at what must be a very disappointing 35. Meanwhile You’re in the Movies - which really is a top giggle - is nowhere to be seen. Oh dear… 1. Call of Duty: World at War (1) Leisure software charts compiled by Chart Track, ©2008 ELSPA Ltd.
