Damn, blast and flipping heck. Sometimes it’s rubbish being stuck in the UK. Particularly when we have to wait while gamers across the Pond enjoy stuff we know we’re not getting for ages. Grrr...

What’s riling us on this occasion is news that the ‘God of War Collection’ will not be released over here until some unspecified point in 2010. And that’s official, as a platitude-serving Sony rep tells vg247.com:

“We are currently looking into options to bring God of War I and II to SCEE consumers on PS3; however it will not be possible to release the games this calendar year. We will provide further information in due course.”

We should be used to such annoyances by now, of course. Yet this still smarts, since the concept of God of War I and II remade for PS3 with 720p visuals, trophies etc is just too good to wait for. It’s doubly vexing that the game is due out in the USA this side of Xmas.

In other words, the game will be ready for Chrimbo but Sony Europe – for reasons best known to itself – has decided that UK and European gamers either don’t deserve such festive fare, or that we won’t mind hanging on while our US chums are served first. WRONG and WRONG!
