Yesterday we guessed that the newly announced Xbox 360 ‘Games on Demand’ would fall within the 1600-2000 MS Point price range. It seems we weren’t too wide of the mark... The launch line-up comprises 21 titles that start at 1600 Points and, dependant on quality or newness, rise to a full 2400 Points. Here’s what's available when the service kicks off on August 11th. We’ll let you decide which ones are worth the full whack: Assassin's Creed Microsoft says that more titles will be added on a weekly basis too – although they’ll likely be old(ish) for the time being, since MS Vice Prez Shane Kim has already confirmed that simultaneous retail/digital download releases are still some way off. So, 1600 – 2400 MS Points – or £13.60 to £20.40 in proper money. That’s not too much to ask for some top quality pieces of gaming entertainment. Well, excepting the slightly unavoidable fact that it’s easy to find a hard copy of pretty much every one of the above titles for less. Brand new in most instances too – we’ve already seen Assassin’s Creed for under £9 and we weren’t even looking especially hard. But it’s early days, and all that. The best is surely yet to come and full Xbox 360 games on demand is definitely a good idea. Er, isn’t it?
