Sony, masters of the vague, have taken a highly uncharacteristic step and actually supplied an official street date for LittleBigPlanet. We know, incredible…! Up to now we’ve had to rely on the evidence of fan boy-fuelled hearsay and online retailers taking a hopeful punt to give us any indication of this hotly anticipated game’s European launch date. Sony didn’t exactly help matters either, sticking to the three month window of ‘autumn’. Yeah, thanks guys. Anyway, that was then. Now they’re all about the official release date of October 24th. With the official release date comes the official product description. LBP is “a world of infinite possibilities, where imagination becomes reality and the powers of creation are firmly in your hands.” just in case you were wondering. Well, we’re glad they’ve cleared that one up ‘cos, to be honest, we’ve struggled to nail it so succinctly. Meanwhile Sony, typically, has not supplied an official price or confirmed the bundle pack we reported a couple of weeks ago. However online retailers are listing the solus game as cheaply as £37.98, delivered, so best to shop around if you want to avoid the £49.99 sticker oft’ applied to primo PS3 games on the high street. October 24th it is, then. That’s a mere 37 days away - but can you bear to wait that long?
