Transformers actor Shia LaBeouf is, by his own very frank admission, not a fan of the Wii. And he reserves particular disdain for the poor misguided punters who play it. Oh dear. LaBeouf has been telling bigdownload.com about his gaming tastes. Apparently he’s been enjoying the Godfather II on account of its faster cars and compact mission structure, he digs Sid Meier’s Civilization and was a big Mario Kart fan as a lad. All very charming, we’re sure. However, when questioned if he’d played the Wii version of the new Transformers tie-in, his true preferences were revealed: “I haven't been able to play the Wii game because my hand is broken. I've just been playing Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3. I would imagine that the Wii experience will be like... I don't mess with the Wii, to be honest with you. It's kind of an amateur console. I'm not into the Wii thing.” An amateur console? But it gets worse, as LaBoeuf is asked just what is wrong with Nintendo’s motion-sensing home console: “This is how in a simple way you can find out if it's a gamer you want to play with. Ask them if they have a Wii. If they say yes, get the f*** out of there.” Bigdownload then enquires whether that’s the reason why he wouldn’t play LEGO Star Wars with Megan Fox on the set of the new Transformers movie, and we learn the alarming extent of his feelings: “Who wants to play the Wii version of LEGO Star Wars. I’d rather eat glass.” So there you have it. And that’s LaBeouf off Nintendo’s Christmas card list forever more. Mega Fox’s too, we shouldn’t wonder. Silly boy...
