Scaler E3 2004 Preshow First Look
Scaler is a colorful 3D action game being geared toward the PS2, Xbox, and GameCube. In the game, you play as Bobby "Scaler" Johnson, a kid who discovers his next-door neighbor's plot to take over the world by stealing all the lizards and mutating them into horrible monsters. Thankfully, Bobby gains the ability to transform into different shapes, so it's up to him to save the world.
You can transform into 10 different types of bad guys, as well as camouflage yourself to blend in with your environment. The game will pack a variety of platformlike action, from vine-surfing along giant tendrils to skateboarding. There's also a roller coaster of sorts that will speed you along levels.
Gathering and developer Global Star Software promise tongue-in-cheek-style humor, along with exotic worlds, plants, and animals. Scaler is due out this summer for all three platforms.
