Marc Ecko's Getting Up: Contents Under Pressure Character Profiles

Currently scheduled for release next month, Marc Ecko's Getting Up: Contents Under Pressure is a third-person action game in which you'll assume the role of Trane, an up-and-coming graffiti artist in the near-futuristic city of New Radius. In our previous character profiles, we've introduced you to Trane, news reporter Karen Light, a clotheshorse named Dip, and police chief William Hunt. Today we bring our character profiles to a close with the lowdown on four more New Radius locals.

Gabe #33

Previously part of the hip-hop duo 3rd Bass and featured in the film Bamboozled, Michael Berrin will voice one of the main characters, Gabe. Gabe is the leader of the Vandals of New Radius (VaNR). He's a diehard fan of New Radius' professional basketball team, the Stunners, and has adopted the jersey of his favorite player, number 33, Vance "Vandal" Dallister. Gabe has a reputation as a badass and is ready to cause problems for any Toy (beginner graffiti writer) trying to get up on VaNR turf. He's rarely without his girlfriend, Tina, voiced by Rosario Dawson, and you can always spot his pieces by their royal blue, orange, and white paint. One more thing: Gabe's got a fear of heights, so he has his crew hit the heaven spots for him. Not a good look for someone trying to maintain his rep.

Kry-1

Featured in films such as Boiler Room, Sky Captain and the World of Tomorrow, and Cold Mountain, Giovanni Ribisi voices character Kry-1, a trust fund kid whose only ambition is to roll with the big boys of New Radius. When Trane, the game's lead protagonist (voiced by Talib Kweli) first meets Kry-1, he thinks the kid is wack. Yet as their relationship evolves, it is Kry-1 who is responsible for convincing Trane that he can't take on the city alone, and who is ultimately responsible for giving birth to the Still Free Crew (SFC). And while his tagging skills leave a lot to be desired, his uncanny ability to find a way into the hardest-to-reach spots of New Radius and navigate the underground make him an irreplaceable part of the SFC.

Mayor Sung

Known for his roles in The Godfather: Part III and Hollywood Ending, George Hamilton lends his voice to character Mayor Miguel Sung, a cagey politician who's risen to the top slot in the city of New Radius. They say power corrupts--but not Mayor Sung. A former DA who ran for mayor on promises to rid the city of juvenile delinquents and to "make the streets shine like sterling silver," Sung has risen through the ranks of New Radius with the smile of an angel and the soul of a serial killer. The media loves his savvy charm, off-the-cuff humor, and knack for delivering the perfect sound bite. But remember, you can fool some of the people some of the time, but you can't fool all of the people all of the time.

Aunt Beth

Voiced by comedian Andy Dick, who appeared in Zoolander and Old School. To the casual passerby, Aunt Beth is nothing more than a crazy bag lady roaming the streets of New Radius. In reality, Aunt Beth is a graf writer's worst nightmare--the infamous big boss of the CCK (Civil Conduct Keepers) undercover unit known as the Vandal Squad. A behemoth battle-ax, Aunt Beth gives no mercy to any writer who crosses her path. She uses her smarts to start beefs between rival crews, and because she used to be a writer, "Aunt B" knows exactly how to find them. Like she always says, "Let the little rats kills themselves; save the big rats for me."
